A bike-sharing scheme currently operating in Dublin will be piloted in Westmeath.
Mullingar has been selected for the five-month trial which will see racks installed at either end of the town, allowing people to collect and return a bike after use.
Details on locations and pricing are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
