Bishop Outlines Challenges Facing The Church During Covid Outbreak

Over half of the priests in the diocese of Kildare and Leighlin are cocooning.

A midlands bishop is says adapting to the coronavirus pandemic has been challenging for the Church.

Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin, Denis Nulty, says 55 per cent of priests in the diocese are cocooning.

Confirmations and First Holy Communion ceremonies have also been put on hold, and may be held later in the summer, depending on when restrictions are lifted.
