Brian Cowen To Play Vital Role In St. Patrick's Day Parade

Peace is the stand-out theme for this year's event.

Former Taoiseach Brian Cowen will play a crucial role in a midlands town's St. Patrick's Day Parade this year.

The former Fianna Fáil Leader will take the on role of Grand Marshall as the Parade travels through Tullamore on March 17th.

Peace will be the major theme at this year's event, with the official subject being 'Ireland, Culture through Music, Chat, Fun and Peace Throughout The World.'

The route has been confirmed as the car park of the Bridge Centre as the assembly point, and finishing at the GAA Centre.
