Laois Offaly Deputy Carol Nolan is praising certain decisions from the State, such as the Carers' Credit and the disregard of a means test for fuel allowance for those aged 66 and over.
However, she noted many blind spots from the Government, including a lack of adequate support for the haulage sector and a refusal to reduce the VAT rate for hospitality businesses.
Deputy Nolan says Budget 2025 was a missed opportunity:
