A survey showed 83% would prefer shorts.

Laois are through to the Leinster Intermediate Final after a one point victory over Kilkenny in Freshford yesterday.

Despite been five points down at the break, The O'Moore County used the wind to their advantage to eke out a 2-12 to 0-17 win.

The midlanders now advance to take on Carlow in the decider after they got the better of Dublin also by a one point margin.

Meanwhile the fallout is continuing following the Camogie Association's decision to keep the rules on players wearing 'skorts' in place, despite protests from players.

A survey of 650 inter-county camogie players found 83% would prefer shorts, or have the option to choose.

Cork dual star Hannah Looney has given her backing to the Dublin and Kilkenny team's protest against wearing skorts.

The players were ordered off the field before the start of their Leinster semi-final to change having worn shorts initially.

Looney is preparing to play in this weekend's Munster Senior Camogie final against Waterford.
