New classes for Scoil Mhuire in Tullamore, alongside St Mary's National School in Athlone and Columba College, Killucan have been sanctioned by the Department of Education in their third Tranche of funding for the next academic school year.
No Laois schools were included in Tranche Three funding.
It brings the total figure to 24 in total across the midlands, with 10 in Offaly, 8 in Westmeath, and six in Laois.
