A cannon gifted to the people of a Westmeath town by the Irish Defence Forces is going back on display.
It's after Mullingar Historian Jason McKevitt made an appeal on Midlands 103 to find the 25 pounder artillery field gun, which had gone missing from Belvedere House.
He was annoyed when he found out from Westmeath County Council that the historical item was being stored in a shed.
Mr. McKevitt says it's now back in the town thanks to a number of local army veterans it's back home in Columb Barracks:
