The CSO has been looking at Diversity, Migration, Ethnicity, Irish Travellers & Religion.
Non-Irish citizens now account for 12% of the population.
Today the CSO released Census 2022 details on Diversity, Migration, Ethnicity, Irish Travellers & Religion.
In the year leading up to the Census almost 10,000 people came to Ireland from India, while over 5,000 arrived from Brazil.
In Laois, Polish citizens made up 25% of non-Irish citizens in the county, with their total at just under 2,300.
In Offaly, there are 1,560 Polish citizens, and 1,832 in Westmeath.
