The Midlands could be set for its first snowfall of the winter later today.
Met Éireann is predicting that the cold temperatures may lead to rainfall turning to sleet and snow as the evening progresses.
A yellow rainfall warning is in effect for Laois and Offaly from 2pm to 2am tomorrow.
