A man behind a Christmas Tree controversy in Laois has come forward.
It comes after volunteers posted an image of a man who had climbed the Portarlington Christmas Tree on Saturday night.
They say he had significantly damaged the lighting on the tree and would be reported to Gardaí.
The group says man came forward yesterday, and the situation is resolved.
