CIF Rows Back On Claims Of Cost Rise On Major Buildings Projects

The head of the Construction Industry Federation is clarifying the comments.

The Director General of the Construction Industry Federation has rowed back on claims costs of major building projects could rise by 40 per cent.

Coolderry's Tom Parlon made the comments at the Dáil's Covid 19 committee earlier this week.

He had said the additional costs would be incurred because of the social distancing measures needed as sites reopened. 

However today the Offaly man clarified those remarks, saying he was talking about productivity not costs:
