Over 700 jobs were created in the region last year.
Almost 12,000 people are employed by Enterprise Ireland client companies in the Midlands.
The organisation has just published its 2024 results, showing over 60% of jobs created were outside of Dublin in the regional areas.
In the midlands, 771 new jobs were created last year, a net rise of 366 jobs in the region.
Sub sectors that recorded high levels of growth nationally include climate, sustainability and agritech at 8% and lifesciences at 7%.
Enda McDonnell, Regional Director, East and Midlands Region, Enterprise Ireland says "Positive growth was recorded in the Midlands region with employment increasing by 3% in 2024, with 771 new jobs created in the region. This is a testament to the hard work of our client companies who are hungry to achieve greater scale and expand their global footprint"
