Communication is key in order to keep our communities safer.
That's the message from An Garda Síochána, as this year's National Age Friendly Ireland Older People’s Councils Convention takes place in Athlone this week.
The annual Convention brings together members of Older People’s Councils from across the country to share and discuss the key issues facing older people in Ireland today.
The aim is to also demonstrate how to inform practical responses at a local level.
