A midlands town has already housed 22 Ukrainian refugees with over 80 more to arrive.
Communities in the midlands feel "powerless" about what's happening in their towns.
That's according to Laois Offaly TD, Carol Nolan.
A premises in Offaly is preparing for the arrival of over 80 Ukrainian refugees,
La Sainte Union Convent in Banagher, has already housed 22 people who are fleeing the war in Ukraine since October last year.
Deputy Nolan says she has a number of constituents who are concerned over when support services will be put in place to deal with rising populations:
