A Justice Committee met yesterday in Leinster House to discuss allowing counselling session details in trials.
The question of counselling notes being used in criminal court trials is not being given enough time by lawmakers.
That's according to rape survivor, Mullingar's Hazel Behan.
Ms Behan told Justice Committee members in Leinster House yesterday allowing details of survivors counselling sessions into trials could destroy their recovery from their assault trauma.
Her submission is being considered as part of the The Criminal Law and Civil Law Bill which is moving through the Oireachtas at the moment.
She says it's clear the counselling notes question needs to be re-visited:
