Construction is beginning today on a new €6 million Lidl store in Laois.
The retailer says the new facility will add seven new staff members, as well as employing up to 100 workers during the planning and development stage.
The site will be located on James Fintan Lalor Avenue in Portlaoise.
Fergus Torpey, Construction Project Manager at Lidl Ireland says the new building will include the latest sustainable technology.
