The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 1,470* confirmed cases of COVID-19.
As of 8am today, 367 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 59 are in ICU.
Meanwhile,
56 per cent of 12 to 15 year olds have received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says 1 per cent are fully vaccinated.
73 per cent of 16 and 17 year olds have had one dose - with 52 per cent fully vaccinated.
Almost 6.94 million jabs have been administered in Ireland so far.
