Shane Maher's Butchers in Moate is closing its doors at the end of this month.
A Westmeath butcher who's closing his business down at the end of the month believes the county council has no interest in keeping shops like his alive.
Shane Maher made the decision to close the award winning, Shane Maher Butchers in Moate, due to the continually rising supplier and utility costs.
The shop will close for the final time on the 29th of March.
