Four in ten people say they're willing to go into debt to pay for their wedding.
A survey by Raisin Bank found most couples spend between 10 and 20 thousand euro getting married.
Offaly wedding planner Emma Greenbury of the Wednesday Wedding Club in Tullamore believes the average wedding costs approximately 12,000 euro before any extra services.
She is urging people tying the knot to book people within their budget rather than haggling down wedding suppliers.
