Tullamore Circuit Court heard both men had failed to disclose previous claims.
Two men with a history of personal injury claims have had their case over a minor accident in Offaly dismissed.
The Irish Independent reports Kieran Joyce of Drogheda in County Louth and Francis Kerrigan Senior of Crinkle Hill in Birr, in Offaly, claimed they were injured as passengers when a car struck a pole near Birr in 2019.
The car in question was being driven by the defendant, Mr Kerrigan's son, James Kerrigan.
A hearing in Tullamore Circuit Court yesterday heard that the GP who examined Mr Joyce, who is a former footballer for Shelbourne FC, believed he was trying to fabricate how badly injured he was.
While he and Mr Kerrigan failed to disclose their involvement in other accidents, some of which resulted in payouts.
Judge Chris Callan dismissed the case saying it was clear the plaintiff's evidence was misleading to the court.
