The Mayo TD will now take over the reins as Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital & Company Regulation in the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
It follows Longford-Westmeath's Robert Troy's dramatic departure from the role last week following the controversy surrounding in undeclaration of properties and subsequent questions that arose.
