Today marks the last chance for anyone looking to take part in the Ashling Murphy 4 Mile race this weekend.

The deadline for entries is at midnight tonight.

The race, which gets underway at 10am on Sunday, was officially launched in Tullamore last week by Ashling's parents, Ray and Kathleen Murphy,

The event, ran in memory of the Offaly school teacher, is getting bigger year on year according to the Chair of Offaly Athletics.

Darren Butler says they've had to move the registration deadline forward to deal with the ever increasing number:
