The lack of electric car chargers in the midlands is preventing us from taking a further step towards climate action.
That's the view of Laois councillor Ben Brennan, who claims there are only four chargers in the Graiguecullen-Portarlington district, with all four installed in Portarlington.
He says drivers in the area face a 45 minute commute to charge their car.
The independent rep says it's not feasible to drive electric at this point:
