A decision is due on a new housing development in Laois today.
A 34 home project is planned for Ballylinan, consisting of 30 three bed semi-detached houses, and 4 detached three bed bungalows.
The application, put forward by Liam Kelly trading as Sammy Kelly Builders plans to repurpose a quarry that's located on the site.
Plans include provision to fill the quarry with soil and stone to turn it into a recreation area.
The project will require five separate service sites, as well as new vehicle and pedestrian entrances.
