The project would see the construction of over 90 homes.
A decision on a large-scale housing development in the midlands is due next week.
JC Brenco Developments is seeking permission for the construction of 99 new homes in Rahin, Ballylinan in Laois.
The majority of those will be three-bed, two-storey buildings, but the plans also include the provision of some two-bed, single-storey and two-storey units.
The development of a new creche is also being proposed.
A decision on the development had been due last year, but the local authority requested additional information.
Laois County Council will decide on the future of the homes next Tuesday.
