The search on Lough Ennell for the man in his 20's continues today.
Gardaí are re-issuing their appeal for information on the disappearance of a Westmeath man on a Midlands lake last weekend.
The man, who is in his 20s, was reported missing after his fishing boat was found abandoned at Lough Ennelll on Sunday morning.
The Garda Water Unit, based in Athlone, along with local sub aqua teams, Civil Defence and the Garda Dog Unit have been joined by a significant volunteer effort over the course of this week's search.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity between 12:30am and 6pm last Saturday and may have observed a man in a fishing boat contact Athlone Garda Station.
