A TikTok video uploaded by creator Jamie Robinson revealed a container marked 'Deaths A-Z' at the former St. Loman's Hospital in Mullingar, with a number of files inside,
The user often uploads videos exploring abandoned buildings around Ireland.
In a statement to Midlands 103, the HSE says it's communicated with the Data Protection Commission on the matter, and determined it's not a reportable personal data breach.
It also says it takes all breaches of data protection seriously.
The Data Protection Commission says it's engaging with the HSE as part of an overall Inquiry into its storage and retention of personal data contained in paper records.
It also says it has no further comment to give at this time as the process is ongoing.
