A man was arrested after a Garda foot chase.
A man is due to appear in court after being arrested in connection with allegedly causing damaged two donation boxes and stealing money in St. Mary's Church, Edenderry.
An eye witness reported the man to Gardaí and following a short chase on foot he was arrested.
He was then taken to Tullamore Garda Station and charged.
Gardaí say all the property taken was recovered.
