Laois County Council Spend €16,000 On Drones To Catch Illegal Dumpers

It's been an ongoing issues in the county.

Several drones have been purchased by Laois County Council at a cost €16,000 in a bid to tackle illegal dumping. 

Staff are currently being trained to operate the equipment, which is expected to be in use early next year. 

The local authority say data protection measures are being put in place which will ensure all audio and visuals collected can be used in court.
