The Independent TD in Laois is concerned new special needs classrooms won't be delivered on time.
Confirmed planning permission for new special classes and modular classrooms in Laois is welcome but more needs to be done.
That's the view of Independent TD for Laois Brian Stanley as four permanent classrooms and two extra modular classrooms are being approved for St.Francis School in Portlaoise.
Killeshin National school is also getting two new classes, but no exact timeline is being provided for completion of the projects or if they will be ready in time for September.
Deputy Stanley says the Department of Education needs to better coordinate these projects in future:
