A company with a base in Offaly that supplies protective clothing to the pharmaceutical industry says the lack of clarity around incoming tariffs is "a killer".
Elis Cleanroom employs 60 people in Birr, and around 1,300 nationwide, and has enjoyed double digit percentage growth every year for the last ten years.
Staff in the company are now concerned over the threat of up to 50% tariffs on pharmaceutical exports to the United States.
While the Tanaiste Simon Harris believes a 10% levy could be the best case scenario.
