New figures from the CSO show there's been a 7 per cent increase in the offence in the first three months of the year when compared to the same period in 2024.
There's been substantial jump in the number of incidents of dirivng over the limit in the Laois Offaly Garda Division, up 41 per cent, however they're down 57 per cent in Westmeath.
However there's been no recorded instances of drug driving in the first quarter of this year in Laois, Offaly, or Westmeath compared to 17 in 2024.
