It was found during operation Tombola.
Community Gardaí on patrol yesterday evening in Mullingar seized over €1,000 of fireworks.
Gardaí launched a nationwide operation called Tombola, which ensures extra resources looking out for any person in possession of fireworks, selling them, throwing or lighting them alongside any antisocial behaviour.
They are warning fireworks can cause serious injury and distress to people and pets and are advising parents to keep their children safe if fireworks are ignited nearby.
