The investment will support small-scale capital projects.
€20,000 is being made available for small capital projects on Walks Scheme trails in Laois.
It comes as part of a €485,000 investment announced by Minister for Rural and Community Development Dara Calleary to support 52 small-scale capital projects nationwide.
Financial support is being provided to restore, realign, and enhance these walking trails.
€10,000 will be made available for access improvements and the replacement of a timber bridge for the Laois Partnership Company, Offaly Way.
The same amount is being also being funded for trail surface improvements and trail surface upgrades for the Slieve Bloom Way.
