Family Carers Ireland say a €350,000 donation will bring stability during uncertain times for those doing a crucial job.
Irish life made the pledge, with almost 20,000 carers in the midlands set to benefit.
Three areas are set to be targeted with the fund, supports for mental and physical health, respite hours for those who are currently caring for a loved one 24 hours a day and emergency cover in the event of someone contracting the virus.
