It turns the Offaly town into a leader in Ireland for digital public services.
Edenderry has been 'smartened up' as part of a new digital venture.
Sensors which monitor the likes of parking, air quality and building management, have been rolled out across the town, in a project dubbed "e-denderry".
It's been developed by the Cellnex, which provides wireless infrastructure around Europe.
Sales Director Paul Delaney says sensors will also help Offaly County Council with bin collections:
The developers behind the digitalisation says it'll boost efficiency and tourism in the town.
25 sensors have been installed in the town - they don't contain any cameras and are compliant with GDPR.
It's a pilot programme that Cellnex hopes to roll out in other parts of Ireland in the coming years.
