The Independent Ireland rep says workers in the midlands also need to be supported.
Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the Greens have not always been supportive of farmers on the ground.
That's the view of European Election Candidate for Midlands North West, Ciaran Mullooly.
He says previous attempts to directly support former workers impacted by the closure of Bord Na Móna's fossil fuel production and the Shannonbridge Power Station haven't worked.
Mr. Mullooly says the third Just Transition scheme will come forward with a training and support grant for the workers and their families.
