The National Transport Authority has signed an agreement to buy up to 200 vehicles.

The National Transport Authority has signed an agreement to buy up to 200 fully electric buses.

The framework, which was also signed by Alexander Dennis Limited, will see 45 zero emission buses delivered next year.

These are expected to operate services in Athlone and the Dublin Metropolitan Area.

The contract is part of the Government’s commitment to lower carbon emissions in transport as part of the Climate Action Plan.
