Electronic Devices Donated To Midlands Hospital Confiscated By Management

A local councillor says they apparently weren't donated in the proper fashion.

Electronic devices, donated to a midlands hospital, have since been confiscated, according to an Offaly councillor.

Ken Smollen says an iPad, a number of bluetooth radios, and a headset were donated to Tullamore Regional Hospital by Expert Electrical, to give patients the opportunity to contact family while visitor restrictions are in place.

However, Councillor Smollen says hospital management told him the items had to be removed because they weren't donated in the correct fashion.
