The owners behind a Midlands nursing home embroiled in a malpractice controversy last year says the story is having a significant affect on its finances.
Emeis Ireland suspended admissions to seven of its homes after a TV exposé revealed multiple instances of care failings and neglect at The Residence in Portlaoise, and Beneavin Manor in Dublin.
CEO for the overall group, Laurent Guillot, says earnings in Ireland were affected both by the suspended admissions, and the need to invest in staffing at the facilities in question.
