President of the Association Ger Hyland believes tolls are the most polluted places in Ireland.
Over 26 million euro a year is being wasted in diesel on Irish roads by trucks.
That's according to The Irish Road Hauliers Association which says lorries stopping at toll booths are generating 45 thousand tonnes of carbon every year.
The IRHA says it's offering the government a way to reduce C02 emissions and stop wasting fuel, to hit the country's 2030 climate targets.
