Enoch Burke’s dismissal from Wilson’s Hospital School has been made final, which means he will no longer be paid his teaching salary.
His last attempt to overturn the school’s decision to let him go has failed with a Disciplinary Appeals Panel finding nothing wrong with his dismissal.
For years, Enoch Burke has argued that his dismissal was due to his stance on transgenderism.
He pursued many legal challenges, claiming it was unconstitutional.
The school always maintained that his religious beliefs had nothing to do with it – that he was suspended and later dismissed for gross misconduct.
After exhausting most, if not all, legal avenues, it was left to a Disciplinary Appeals Panel to decide his fate, and that panel has now upheld the school’s decision.
Aside from no longer being employed by the school, it means he now has no reason whatsoever to enter onto school property, and he will no longer be paid his salary.
Mr Burke received the news behind bars - he has spent almost 700 days in prison for repeated breaches of a court order to stay away from the school.
Separately, today, he also lost his application for an extension of time to appeal that order, made in 2023.
