Over two and a half thousand people are suffering from uncontrolled seizures in the midlands.
For this group the consequences of epilepsy can be long-lasting and significant.
910 people in Westmeath have the condition, while in Laois its 870 and 785 people have it in Offaly.
On Epilepsy Day, Epilepsy Ireland is promoting the key words of TIME, SAFE, STAY as a memory aid for the public on how to correctly respond to a seizure.
