Street upgrade works will commence on Sunday from 8am-4pm.
The ESB is advising Laois residents to move their vehicles ahead of maintenance works this weekend.
Street upgrade works will commence on Main Street in Portarlington from the Bank of Ireland to the Market Square, and also along Foxcroft Street on Sunday from 8am-4pm.
Parking on the street is prohibited on the day and the ESB are requesting all vehicles be moved.
They're giving assurances no power outages will be experienced throughout the day.
They also say this will be the last of the interruptions before the Christmas shopping period.
