300,000 homes will need to be connected in the next half decade.
The ESB will need to double the number of electricity connections to reach its 2030 target.
That's the finding from a report from the Oireachtas Committee on Infrastructure this week.
It found 151,000 homes were connected to the electricity grid between 2021 and 2025 with plans to connect 300,000 more by the end of the decade.
