EU Must Recognise 'Toxic' Laughing Gas As Psychoactive Substance Of Concern - Nina Carberry

Countries across the continent are reporting severe poisonings and deaths.

A Midlands North-West MEP is demanding the European Commission label laughing gas as 'toxic'.

Nina Carberry wants nitrous oxide considered an emerging psychoactive substance of concern and for it to be recorded in the EU's early warning System 

The HSE has previously found that one in four drug users at Irish festivals were using the substance.

While across the EU, Member States are reporting a sharp rise in severe poisonings and deaths linked to the recreational use of nitrous oxide.
