Two opticians from Westmeath were providing eye health care in Kolkata.
Two midlands opticians have returned from India after providing eye health care to nearly 2,500 people.
Athlone's Keith McCallion and Kate Kelly worked with The Hope Hospital Eye clinic in Kolkata, where they offered eye checks and dispensed glasses to people on the street.
For many of those, it would've been their first time seeing an optician.
Mr. McCallion says he saw the good being done in the world while he was there:
