A Laois mother says she's inspired by the other winners at the family carer of the year awards.
Sarah Dooley from Mountmellick is a mother of four to John, Patrick, Cathal and Eoin.
Twins John and Patrick are autistic and non-verbal and Cathal has been undergoing treatment for leukemia.
Meanwhile 16 year old Shannon Egan from Athlone has won Leinster Young Carer of the Year.
The Westmeath teenager cares for her sister Alanna who has Koolen de Vries Syndrome and requires daily assistance.
