A man in his 40's has died following a collision in Co. Kildare.
The incident involving a car and a pedestrian happened at approximately 6pm last night.
Gardai and Emergency Services attended the scene of the collision between Monesterevin and Kildare town at approximately 6:00pm yesterday evening.
The pedestrian a man in his 40's was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road is currently closed between Monesterevin and Kildare town with local diversions in place.
Garda are appealing for any road users, who may have camera footage including dash-cam and were travelling in the area between 5:00pm and 6:30pm yesterday evening to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
