Bus Éireann have announced changes to the system serving Athlone Community College, Marist College and Our Lady's Bower Secondary School in Athlone, meaning students will now be collected by bus in Athlone Town Football Stadium Carpark at quarter past 4 in the evening.
Complaints are being made around the difficulty and safety of pupils travelling there and being left unsupervised on dark evenings for up to an hour.
